The new build comes with build number OPM1.171019.019.V9.6.3.0.ODHMIFE and is still based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It brings August 2018 security patch according to the official changelog. How to Install Xiaomi Mi A1 August 2018 Security Update

There are two different methods to install August 2018 security update on the Mi A1. Method 1 will guide you to flash the ROM via TWRP recovery. It will best suit users who have rooted and have the recovery installed. Method 2, on the other hand, is for those who would want to install without TWRP and use the flash the Fastboot image.

Method 1: Using TWRP Recovery
