A Bit About The OnePlus 8 Series

Brief about OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro

Performance: OnePlus has released two variants of the new phone, the regular OnePlus 8, which is the compact flagship, and the OnePlus 8 Pro, which is the ultra-premium level flagship. Both the phones feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 856 SoC, which is the company’s latest mobile platform chipset.

The built-in Snapdragon™ X55 5G Modem-RF System in OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro enables multi-gigabit 5G connectivity and advanced WiFi 6 performance. Both the phones offer 8 GB and 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128 GB and 256 GB UFS 3.0 storage respectively, for blazing-fast transfer speeds up to 6,400 Mbps.

Battery: In terms of battery life, the OnePlus 8 harnesses its power from a 4300 mAh battery and the OnePlus 8 Pro from a slightly higher 4510 mAh. Although both the phones support Warp Charge 30T fast charging, the OnePlus 8 Pro additionally features 30W wireless charging as well, making it the first phone from OnePlus to support the technology.

Display: On the display front, the OnePlus 8 sports a 6.55-inch Fluid Display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the 8 Pro has a 6.78-inch display with a whopping 120 Hz refresh rate, making it the company’s best and brightest display ever created. The latter even scored an A+ from DisplayMate for its unrivaled color accuracy.

Camera: Coming down to the most anticipated part of any modern smartphone, the camera. The regular OnePlus 8 sports a triple camera lens setup on the rear, with a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP ultra-wide shooter. On the front is a 16MP Sony IMX471 lens enclosed within the punch hole design on the top left of the display.

The OnePlus 8 Pro takes the camera experience to the next level with a quad-lens setup. The main lens is 48MP with a custom-made Sony IMX689 sensor, with F/1.75 aperture and support for both Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). With this hybrid stabilization, the 8 Pro features gimble-like stabilization even while shooting 4K videos.

The second lens an 8MP telephoto lens with support for OIS as well. The third lens a 48MP ultra-wide shooter with 120° expansive field-of-view. And the last 5MP color filter lens is what powers the phone’s higher dynamic range to provide you with the utmost details in both well-lit and shadowed areas of a shot.

Design: When it comes to the design, both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro come in three color variants with the subtle matte metal finish. Onyx Black and Glacial Green variants are common between the two. The regular OP8 features Interstellar Glow as the third color variant, while the OP8 Pro comes in an Ultramarine Blue variant.

There’s still some time before OnePlus announces the availability of these phones. But even you’re not planning on purchasing it, you can still get a bit of its visual experience by downloading the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro stock wallpapers and applying them on your Android device.

Since the OnePlus 2, most, if not all stock wallpapers on OnePlus phones have been designed by the infamous and extremely talented artist Hampus Olsson. And this time is no different, as OnePlus has again turned to him for his beautiful abstract artworks.

The artist has designed 4 unique wallpapers specifically for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. His work is a perfect blend between an impactful abstract design and usability. All the four wallpapers created by him feature unique vibrant colors that would surely catch everyone’s eyes.

Like in the past, these stock wallpapers come in three different versions. You can download them in 4K (2160 x 4800 px) and 2K (1440 x 3168 px) resolutions, as well as the Never Settle versions.

Hampus also created one live wallpaper for the new phones, following the same aesthetics as the static wallpapers. However, since the live wallpapers are built right into the phones’ software, he wasn’t able to share them in this blog post. We will probably have to wait until someone extracts these live wallpapers for you to use.

Right below are the compressed previews of all the OnePlus 8 stock wallpapers that are available for download.

Alternatively, you can download all the wallpapers in each version/resolution packed in a ZIP file provided directly by Hampus.
